The Foster Parent Assocation of Spokane offers services to enrich the lives of foster and adoptive children as well as support the parents who care for them.
Foster Parent & Adoptive Parent Consultation
These services are available for qualified foster homes by
Support Specialists when difficult issues arise during the care of foster & adoptive children.
1. Crisis Intervention
2. Problem Solving Consultation
3. Skill Building Education or Training.
4. Referrals to more Relevant Resources.
5. Communication Facilitation between Community Service Providers.
6. Meeting between Collateral Agencies or Professionals in Community.
7. Education.
Foster Parent Support Specialists can refer foster & adoptive parents to available resources for one or more of the following services:
1. Respite home placement for foster children.
2. General Support Services
General Support Services Legal Advice for Foster Parents
The Foster Parent Association of Spokane will provide referrals to attorney(s) for:
- Adoptions
- Guardianships
- Allegations of Abuse & Neglect
- Liability
- Licensing
Childhood to Adult Transition
Provide support to foster parents to assist in the transition of foster children into adult life.
